About Us

Working Together for a Healthier State

The Louisiana Health Care Quality Forum is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to reshaping health care.  Led by a volunteer Board of Directors, the Quality Forum serves as a neutral convener, bringing providers, purchasers, payers and consumers together to drive improvements in health care quality, safety and value for Louisiana residents.

The Quality Forum's main areas of focus are:
  • Clinical quality improvement
  • Quality measurement and analytics
  • Patient-centered medical home
  • Health information technology
  • Outreach and education
  • LaPOST awareness
In response to recommendations made by the Louisiana Health Care Redesign Collaborative in 2006, the Quality Forum was created and tasked with addressing health care issues in the state following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.  During the 2007 Regular Legislative Session, the organization was formally established and organized through the efforts of more than 40 health care and consumer groups.

Mission:
To lead evidence-based, collaborative initiatives to improve the health of Louisiana residents.

Vision:
To be the recognized leader in driving fundamental improvement in health and health care in Louisiana.
