After submitting a formal application, the Louisiana Health Care Quality Forum received $10.6 million in grant funding from the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) to implement a statewide health information exchange (HIE).

NOTE:  Content for LaHIE’s approved Strategic and Operational Plan was based on research and data compiled in 2010.  Details outlined in the business and financial sections were designed to be flexible to support potential changes in health care, health information technology and state/federal requirements.

We have received feedback that the sustainability model outlined in the plan is not consistent with the value proposition of LaHIE.  LHCQF and its stakeholders are currently working to revise this model.  If you have questions or would like to provide input for future plan development, contact Colby Lemaire at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
